Meet the members of our lab!
Anna Roat, MS Student (2024–present)
Anna is in our 5-year undergraduate/MS degree program. She is using sea ice biomarkers to investigate the role of ice algae in snow crab diets and linkages to the collapse of the Bering Sea snow crab fishery following a marine heat wave and record low sea ice in 2018 and 2019.
Project Funding: North Pacific Research Board Graduate Research Fellowship

Evan Kinnevan, PhD Student (2025–present)
Evan is part of our interdisciplinary Biomedical and Environmental Health Sciences PhD program. His research focuses on understanding the drivers of recent declining reproductive success of Osprey in the Chesapeake Bay.
Project Funding: Virgina Osprey Foundation
Maia Gostin, Undergraduate Researcher (2026–present)
